The only $$ I currently give Cablevision is for Opt Online. I am seriously considering switching to FIOS but need to do more research before switching. I think Verizon is starting to offer Direct TV through FIOS. Haven't heard of anyone that uses it yet. It's the same shyt that went down with the Yes Network a couple of years ago. I just read this yesterday, read below.... I had Directv up to a year ago, when the house I was living in was put up for sale. I moved to an apt. building which only allows cablevision connection. It doesn't allow dish equpiment to be installed. Then I spoke to the building super, about the possibilities of getting a dish put up, and he tells me "no, the building admininstration was paid off by cablevision, to make it a cablevision exclusive building"... That sucks right there. Why can't I have a choice??? That's illegal there, but they get away with it, because they say that attaching equipment can damage the structure of the building. So I'm stuck with the cablevision empire providing me with service. Again, read below....
