I’m posting this from Juiceman’s basement. The GNP (including BiLLMaTiC!) is here scrumming on my right now… that game was incredible. What a game!
To quote an amazing song that Frank The Tank has blessed us with… “Overtime… small thing to to a GIANT. I’M PROUD TO BE… A NEW YORK GIANT!!!!!!!”
Rejoice Giant Nuts. We just took a big one.

That game kicked ASS! I missed the third and most of the fourth since I had to drive to my parents house for my fathers b-day, but I caught the end of the fourth, and of course, the OT. YES! Hey, where’s my Friends of the GNP pic??

What a great win yesterday. We needed that one. Toomer was absolutely clutch yesterday. Read in the paper today that he needed 4 IV bags after the game before he could take his uniform off.
Juicestine- many thanks for yesterday.
Meg- thanks for keeping the little guys busy for so long. Nicky fell asleep in the car on the way home and went right to bed when we got home.
Billmatic- good to see you. The GNP is not the same when you aren’t around.
A few other Sunday observations:
-The Redskins are bad. Good D but Brunell is done.
-TO-broken finger- out 2-4 weeks. Might miss our game in a few weeks.
-Dumbest play of the day and maybe the year by the Panthers yesterday. Up by 7 in the 4th why in the world try a lateral across the field on a punt return.
17 point 4th quarter deficit- SMALL THING TO A GIANT!

Unfortunetly I didn’t see any of it but I listened to it in my car. It’s not easy listening to two radios at once!!
10-6 central, it’s third down!!
Rockhead knows what I’m talkin about!
Ok, well I have been awake now for over 28 hours thanks to a nice drunk driver$$$$$$$
Rockhead knows what i’m talkin about!
Gnite.

It’s my pleasure to welcome Rockhead to the friends of GNP list on the right of these pages!

YES! Proud to be on the GNP site! Scotty, I know ZACTLY what your talking about.. Cha-CHING! Make it work for you, bro… here’s an actual exchange I once overheard:
Division 9 - “7-Adam?”
47-Adam - “Adam”
Division 9 - “7-Adam, 10-10, corner of 222 and White, caller states his dog found a human hand in the garbage outside”
47-Adam - “Adam read, check and advise”
Unknown unit - “Central, 10-5 the hand job….”
Whistles, wow’s, etc. Sometimes I do miss the place.

Incredible…Philly was stunned. Everyone in my house was going crazy!
Just some observations from me:
Why didn’t the Giants go to the air earlier?
Jacobs looked like a good alternative to Tiki…why didn’t he get more touches?
Kiwanuka, when he played, looked great…I was skeptical when he was drafted but looks like a good pickup
Demps played his ass off in our soft secondary…Madison looked terrible…
Neutralized play of Arrington and Emmons unimpressive
Loved the look of McNabb and the Eagles when we tied the game and when we finally won
Great quote from Frank: “17 point 4th quarter deficit- SMALL THING TO A GIANT!”
Anyway a W is a W…thats all that matters. There def wasn’t a shortage of excitement & entertainment I wish I was at the game!
September 18th, 2006 at 6:34 pm
Hahaha! 10-4skin central!
One thing i’m sure you don’t miss though, 7 people shot last night within 2 hours at the African Day Parade on Adam Clayton Powell Blvd! Confirmed 85’s and 13’s every 5 minutes! What a shit show!
Welcome to the friends of the GNP Rockhead.
Anyone doin anything for the game tonight?
September 18th, 2006 at 7:08 pm
Scotty- I am watching it at home. Figured I would make a nice spinach salad and enjoy the game. Stupid idiots at the supermarket were throwing away perfectly good bags of spinach. Morons.
September 18th, 2006 at 7:38 pm
What a bunch of idiots!! I just just had a big bowl of spinach myself so i’m gonna wait a half hour then go swimming with stingrays! I don’t want to cramp up. After that i’ll be at Quinn’s.

One of the best Giant comebacks of all time. According to the paper, on the last play of the game Toomer actually collapsed running his route due to severe exhaustion & cramps. He never saw the play. Reminiscent of Kellen Winslow Sr in that san diego-miami overtime game.

Mike- Good points.
-There was actually a point in the game where Jacobs and Tiki were both in the backfield at the same time. I would like to see that more but in general happy with the way Coughlin is bringing Jacobs in not only on short yardage situations.
-I have seen enough of Chad Morton on K and Punt returns. He is not taking one back. Give me McQuarters
-Refs messed up but it didn’t cost us. They should have given us 5 seconds back for the spike play that never happened.
-The middle of our D line is an issue.
-We are going to keep seeing teams throw the no huddle at us until we figure out how to defend it. Essentially by going to the no huddle they are keeping all 3 of our LB’s on the field which is a favorable matchup for them. LJ Smith was killing us when the Eagles did this.
September 19th, 2006 at 12:01 pm
Amen to all of the above. Thunder and Lightning baby… bring it back!
I read that Burress was fined (ok maybe only $2500, but still) for throwing the ball into the stands in a moment of pure elation after his overtime TD. What a crock, I mean, fine but Hall doesn’t get fined for running full steam into a coach on our sidelines?
September 19th, 2006 at 12:07 pm
The fine is a standard league fine. Even if you give the ball to a handicapped kid sitting in the front row you still get the fine. Plax should still be able to pay the mortgage this month. Don’t worry Kork.
Akers ran into Charles Way and BJ leveled him for doing it. Charles Way is still a big boy and could crush Akers with one arm tied behind his back.
September 19th, 2006 at 12:14 pm
Petigout is the one who actually grabbed Akers and threw him on his ass! I don’t know why Akers didn’t get fined though, he actually left his feet and threw himself into Way. Little shit!!
How bout Shockey knocking the ref on his ass then yelling at him while he was still on the ground cause he got in his way. Haha!
September 19th, 2006 at 12:14 pm
Why’d I think of Hall? Maybe cuz he sucked up my fantasy game this year!
I’m alright with the fine, I know it’s standard but I just have this gut feeling that we’re gonna get rocked with bullshit calls again this year.
September 19th, 2006 at 12:16 pm
At least he didn’t get suspended for two games.
September 19th, 2006 at 12:17 pm
cute… prick =)
September 19th, 2006 at 12:38 pm
Akers tried to be a tough guy & launch himself at Way. But Way was a Fullback for a long time and goes 250 . He basically shrugged akers off and petitgout tossed him to the ground while BJ and others stomped on his head.
