Just a heads up for you NASCAR newbies:

1) Budweiser shootout- Live- Sat Feb 11, 8pm on TNT- A live race from Daytona Intl Speedway. Not a points race- just for $

2) Bud Pole Qualifying for the Daytona 500-Live- Sun Feb 12, noon on NBC- Qualifying for the pole position.

In related Daytona news- Bon Jovi will be performing live prior to the Daytona 500 on the infield. So Kork- it’s ok to break out your Slippery when Wet T-shirt for the trip. Scottie- pack your black leather pants.

The Black Eyed Peas’ Fergie, who has recorded such hits as “Let’s Get it Started,” “Don’t Lie,” “Don’t Phunk With My Heart” and “Hey Mama” will sing the National Anthem prior to the Daytona 500, the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series’ biggest, richest and most prestigious race, on Sunday, Feb. 19 (NBC 12 p.m.).

Fergie joined The Black Eyed Peas in 2000, and their album “Elephunk” became an overwhelming success. The Black Eyed Peas released “Monkey Business” in 2005 and Fergie is currently working on a solo album that is set to be released this year.

The Giant Nuts Project now presents-
Random music reviews and facts by Frank, showing that he knows way too much about the Black Eyed Peas’ and a possible obsession with Fergie!

Just doing my best to keep you up to date on all of the big news for next week. Too many beers in the parking lot and Fergie might be joined on stage by GNP to sing the national anthem.

In the year 2000 Michael Bolton released his first album “Love Songs” setting a record for the most song title’s containing the word “love” on a single album. Sales started very strong until it was rumored that if you played the album backwards you would actually turn gay! Then one day Chris tried it and we realized it was not a rumor.
