NFL to officially announce this game today. It will take place at 6 p.m. in London (1 p.m. here), sometime in October. Both teams will have a home game the week before and a bye week the week after to minimize the effects of traveling. I don’t know how much this really affects us, but I guess we make out better than Miami because we will have one less away game being this is just considered a Miami home game played on a neutral field!

All of the people I spoke to in London told me they are going to get tickets for the game. It’s real football and not that shit NFL Europe that we try to sell them on. They get 2 NFL games a week on TV and I know a lot of people that have started watching. It will never be as big as soccer but it is catching on.

I think so too… this is going to be a big deal over there even if it’s just viewed more as a spectacle then something that Europeans think they can get into long term.

I live with two amazing giants fans here in the U.S. and I believe European Footy is horrible. I hope to become like them and learn their ways.

Apparently NFLUK has already received 100,000 requests for tickets. A guy I work with went to the NFLUK party last night in London. Kickoff was at 11:30pm and the party went until 3:30am. There were over 2,000 people at this party. There is interest over there.

Friend of mine over there got 2 tickets today. Apparently 40,000 tickets sold in 90 minutes. There are still more tickets to sell but today’s raffle winners took all 40,000 that the NFL intended to sell today.

Tickets are 75 and 55 GBP. Given the exchange rate now that’s around USD 150 and 110 per ticket.
