Eagles vs Giants

by @ 10:53 am. Filed under News!

big game. Both teams are 1-2, whoever goes 1-3 is in bad shape. I dont know if the eagles are the terrible team they were the first 2 weeks, or the offensive powerhouse they were against the Lions last week. Good news, Westbrook may not play and if he does, hes hurt.

as far as GNP goes- We have a substitution. Juiceman cannot make it, and his replacement is the fan favorite- BiLLMaTiC.

Giants vs Redskins pregame

by @ 12:26 am. Filed under News!

Redskins are 2-0, we’re 0-2.

We should be able to get to Jason Campbell. Skins lost RT jon Jansen for the year, as well as G Randy Thomas last week. That means if Strahan cant get to the QB this week, he should ride the pine, bc hes going to go against a WalMart Cashier. Their offense is no good. QB Campbell is inaccurate, but can throw well and can escape pressure. RBs Portis & Betts are good, but who knows with this beat up o-line.

Their receivers are garbage except for Santana Moss, but the Giants secondary will make them look like allpros. Watch Brandon Lloyd go apeshit and catch 10 balls. Cooley is a decent TE also. Coach Joe Gibbs is too old and confused and cant manage the clock, expect to see a few delay of games or substitution penaltys.
I expect to see alot more of rookie Aaron Ross and less of Corey “Will Demps” Webster. Would be nice to see McQuarters play nickel instead of on an island bc he just gets burned every time.

Eli should be better this week given the extra time to heal. Not worried bout the offense, the Redskins Defense is hit or miss though. Either they play really well or really poorly. Given their personnel this year though, id favor the poorly. D-Line is no good, LBs are OK, CBs are OK. They rely on their scheme and coaching and that dont always work.

I like the giants chances this week. Giants D def wants to show they dont have downs syndrome, and the Redskins may be overconfident being 2-0.

Giants vs. Packers pregame

by @ 6:04 pm. Filed under News!

Brandon Jacobs out 3-5 weeks. Not sure about Osi yet. ESPN.com reports Eli Manning is out a month with a slight separated shoulder, however the giants say only day to day injury with a bruised AC joint. I guess we’ll find out later in the week what the real story is. Also that buffalo bills reserve TE Kevin Everett who broke his neck Sunday, looks as if he may be paralyzed for life.
As far as GNP goes, we’ll be there ~6:30am getting our new location ready. Perhaps Danimal or Kork can make a new map of the GNP location using google maps, since you guys know where we’re going to be.

Green Bay Packers (1-0) scouting report-  The threat on offense is Brett Favre of course, and Donald Driver. Their new RB is a rookie Brandon Jackson who only ran for 40 yds against the Eagles in their win. Their #2 WR Greg Jennings has been hurt and not sure if hes going to play against the Giants. No one else on their offense scares you except maybe Bubba Franks in the red zone. their O-line is not what it used to be either.
Their defense is very young for the most part. However they do have pretty decent corners with Charles Woodson and Al Harris. Their LBs are just OK with Nick Barnett and AJ Hawk as the big names. Their D-line is average with their main pass rusher being Aaron Kampmann.

Definately a winnable game, however if our backfield consists of Jared Lorenzen and Derrick Ward, we may be in trouble. I like Ward but with the hefty lefty the defense will def load up against the run and try to stop ward while Lorenzen overthrows our WRs. This team also beat the Eagles last week, so they are very capable of winning some games.

Giants Infirmary Ward!

by @ 9:26 pm. Filed under News!

Welcome Michael Jennings! Get your twinkle rag and shine your teeth while you sit & recover from your Torn achilles. See you next year.

Welcome Will Demps! Enjoy your Next GQ Photo Shoot in a sling with your dislocated elbow! When and if you come back, you now have a great excuse for making bad tackles!

Welcome Sam Madison! Another year another injury, get ready to collect your social security check old man while you recover from your pulled hamstring.  Can’t wait for you to come back 2 weeks early and see you get beat every play because you never fully recovered from the injury.

Welcome Steve Smith! Are you a little woozy from your concussion? Do you know where you are? You’re in the NFL son.

BTW, GNP Meeting this sunday to gather supplies, and shopping spree at Home Depot. danimal & kork let me know if youre good to go.

Dan and Kork’s Recon Report

by @ 9:40 pm. Filed under News!

Danny and I went to Giants stadium Saturday to the Carolina preseason game but more importantly to check out the parking/tailgating situation.

First off, we confirmed that our usual spot is in a fenced in construction area. Entering the stadium our old way will do nothing for us, just take us to parking on the other side of the stadium which is strictly parking lot, no good areas for tailgating there. We walked around to the construction area checking for a spot. If you continue walking past the horse track to the other side of the track you get to a good area. It’s a decent sized parking lot but has good curbage on two sides. One side is just like our old area except not on a street, both sides face parking lots. This is the concrete curb and this is a reference shot:

The other side is similar to this one except that one side faces the street (with nothing on the other side of the that street but trees) and one side faces the same parking lot as above. The difference between this curb and the other is this is grass covered. Pros and cons to that I suppose.  One big con is that for this game there was NOT a port-a-potty near the grass curb and we decided that was going to cause some big problems.

Parking should be cake for us since arriving so early. For everyone else though its gonna be a nightmare. You had to see the lines coming in to the parking lots and there were *maybe* 50% of the fans there. You can park alongside the curb if need be.

Dan talked with a 90 yr old security guard at length about what the best route is to get into this new lot. He claims he will have an exact mapquest route for us shortly.

On an unrelated note, while at the stadium we spoke with Franks agent who stated Frank is close to making a decision on his future and may be releasing a statement at the end of this week.
