so the schedule is out and it looks pretty good. we got 4 home games 4:15 or later and the games are all spread out real well. Only 1 time is there back to back weeks at home.

also i was checking out some pictures on the the gnp website, and it seems it was hijacked by spam. almost every picture has like 58 comments, all spam.

i also sat next to reggie bush in the airport in the bahamas , but thats a story for another day.

Cheif Umenyiora!

Posted by Kork!

Saw this on “The Blue Screen” today…

Umenyiora: Call Me ‘Chief’

Osi Umenyiora is now a Chief.

Seriously.

“From now on, you must refer to me as Chief Umenyiora,” the Giants defensive end said today.

Turns out, Umenyiora took an offseason trip to Nigeria, where he spent five years as a child, and while he was there he became a real Chief.

RON ANTONELLI DAILY NEWSHow? “I can’t really tell you that or else I’ll have to kill you,” Umenyiora said. “But it was cool, man. There was a ritual we had to perform. And it cost a lot of money, to be honest with you.”

And what, exactly, does a Nigerian Chief get to do? “I have my constituents – mostly quarterbacks,” he said. “You can call me Chief of the Quarterbacks around here.”

By the way, Mathias Kiwanuka spent three weeks in Uganda this offseason, but did not become a Chief.

“Not yet,” he said. “I’m a Pro Bowl away from that, apparently.”

heh.. this guy’s pretty solid.  dibs on the headdress in the fall.

Giants trade for LB Al Wilson (Broncos)

Pro bowler that is getting up there in age (30). Hopefully we didn’t give up too much for him. At this point I’m just happy we have a LB that can play on the roster.

Daytona 500

surprised theres no post, but i watched the last 100 laps or so and that finish was just crazy. franks fav jimmie johnson got bounced early, but the whole race was damn good. I didnt think anyone had a chance to catch martin that final lap but harvick catching up & passing him along with the carnage and destruction behind them was pretty damn cool.
